Comfortable hotel, I appreciated its very central location so close to the Higashi Hongan-ji Temple, 8 minutes walk from the Kyoto central station and 15 minutes walks to the main touristic area and bus station. Super-friendly staff and the room was elegant and huge. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I had a private bathroom🙂

The ryokan's stunning location, just steps away from the Higashi-Honganji Temple, offered a breathtaking view that added to the charm of our stay. The staff were incredibly warm and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, from providing helpful recommendations to their attentive service. The traditional kaiseki dinner and breakfast were a highlight, giving us a taste of authentic cuisine that left us satisfied and eager to try more. The spacious and well-equipped room provided a cozy atmosphere, with comfortable futons for a good night's sleep. we highly recommend this ryokan to families seeking a unique and welcoming experience in Kyoto.
My wife says that it would have been great if there were more kid-friendly activities available for our children.

I felt like a VIP with the wide selection of wine, sake, craft beer, and champagne at my disposal. The location was perfect, and the service and amenities were top-notch. I was even transported back in time with the ryokan's rich history.
Oh, nothing at all! It was just so disappointing that I couldn't stay forever.
